Michael L. Sturdivant Sr. is a diligent individual concerned with the development of others. As an United States Army veteran, Michael is one who strives to bring out leadership skills in everyone. While stationed in Camp Humphreys, Korea, Michael learned first hand what true leadership entailed from Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC). Prior to being stationed overseas, Michael also received various trainings at the duty stations he was assigned to while serving in the United States Army. He served the United States Army from 1988 until 1995. For nearly 20 years, Michael has devoted much time into working with behaviorally challenged youth and young adults. From 1997-2007 Michael worked diligently to assure that behaviorally challenged youth were cared for. After leaving Woods Services in 2007, Michael joined the Urban Family Council family until 2010 where he was one of the lead educators. While at Urban Family Council, Michael was responsible for developing and delivering curriculum. Michael’s passion for serving others also comes from his life experiences growing up as an only son to a single mother. These life lessons taught Michael how precious life is. He is a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who believes in sowing into his family. Michael is graduate of Community College of Philadelphia with an associate's degree in criminal justice. In addition, Michael holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Temple University's College of Liberal Arts.
